Eduardo Longo, Pinheiros, Sao Paulo, Brasil, 1979

OfHouses guest curated by CI-AA : “During a visit in 2012, Rem Koolhaas described the Sphere
House as “the most intense architectural experience of his last
ten years”. Given the difficulty of implementing his utopia in
the “real world”, Eduardo Longo transformed his house into
a laboratory for free experimentation, where the prototype of
an urban future optimized through prefabricated residential
spheres, was built. The Sphere House is the result of the different episodes lived and imagined by Longo, a reflection of the
metabolism of his own life.” (Photos: © Eduardo Longo, Leonardo Finotti, Tuca Reines, cosmopista.com.)
