Charles F. A. Voysey, Bedford Park, London, UK, 1891-94

OfHouses guest curated by Charles Holland : «Voysey’s house in Bedford Park is the most radical he designed. It
anticipates modernism and draws on Art Nouveau sources as much as Arts
and Crafts ones. It is taught and finely proportioned and has a
delicacy in the details that represented his style at its most
experimental. Spatially, a huge North window at the rear lights a double
height studio giving it an unusually dramatic interior too.» (Photos: © Steve Cadman, Jamie Barras, Charles Holland. Source: RIBA Photographs Collection, voysey.gotik-romanik.de.)
