Kiyoshi Seike, Ota-ku, Tokyo, Japan, 1953-54
OfHouses guest curated by Studiospazio : ”This house was determined by the will of the owner to live in a garden. Behind the mute façade, the presence of the building can be perceived as a void in the densely built district of Tokyo. The expression of the house is reduced to the minimum, whereas the one of the garden is maximized. Rather than a building, it is an environment in the city.” (Photo: © Shinkenchiku-sha.
